ThreadBuddy

ThreadBuddy is a mobile + web app that helps online friends actually stay friends by turning scattered chats into lightweight, shared rituals. Instead of endless messaging, you create “threads” (micro-commitments) like a weekly 10-minute voice note swap, a co-op playlist, a monthly co-watch, or a two-question check-in. The app schedules prompts, suggests low-effort activities, and tracks reciprocity so one person doesn’t carry the relationship. It includes a “drift detector” that flags when a friendship is fading and offers a gentle reset script or a smaller cadence. It’s not a social network: no public feed, no follower counts, no discovery algorithm. It’s a private friendship organizer that integrates with existing platforms (Discord/WhatsApp/Instagram) via links and reminders. Realistically, it wins only if it stays frictionless and feels like a tool, not another place to hang out.
