ThreadFence

ThreadFence is a web + desktop app that sits between your team and Slack/Microsoft Teams to prevent “wrong channel” mistakes and reduce noisy cross-posting. It adds a lightweight approval and routing layer: users draft a message, pick intent (announcement, request, incident, FYI), and ThreadFence suggests the best channel, required tags, and whether it should be a thread or new post. It can enforce rules like “customer names only in #client-private” or “incidents must go to on-call channel,” and it warns when a message looks like it contains sensitive data (PII, credentials, contract terms). Admins get analytics on channel health (unanswered requests, over-broadcasting, top misroutes) and can create templates for common posts. It’s not trying to replace your messenger—just reduce costly human errors and channel chaos.
