ThreadFence

ThreadFence is a web app + embeddable comment widget that focuses on one problem: keeping comment sections readable without hiring moderators. It combines traditional rules (rate limits, link controls, reputation scoring) with AI-assisted triage that flags likely spam, scams, and low-effort ragebait for review. Site owners can set “conversation budgets” (max comments per user per hour, max external links, keyword watchlists) and choose strictness profiles for different pages (news vs. product docs). A lightweight moderation inbox lets teams approve, hide, or shadow-ban users, with an audit trail for accountability. It also supports SSO (Google, GitHub, email magic links) to reduce anonymous drive-by abuse. The goal isn’t to replace Disqus-style networks; it’s to be a clean, private, site-owned system with better anti-abuse defaults and minimal tracking.
