ThreadGate is a web + mobile community chat/forum that forces claims to be anchored to sources. When someone posts advice, accusations, or “facts,” the UI nudges them to attach a link, screenshot, or file, then auto-summarizes the evidence and labels the claim as opinion, anecdote, or sourced. Moderators get an “evidence queue” that highlights high-impact posts (health, finance, safety, defamation risk) and flags missing context or manipulated media. Members can filter threads by “sourced only,” “firsthand only,” or “unverified,” reducing endless circular arguments. This isn’t a replacement for Discord/Reddit; it’s for communities that are tired of misinformation, drama, and moderation burnout. Realistically, growth will be slower than mainstream chat apps because the friction is intentional, but the retention can be strong in high-trust niches.
