ThrottleProof is a mobile + web app that continuously tests your connection for signs of throttling, paid prioritization, and app-specific slowdowns. It runs lightweight, scheduled tests (video, VoIP, gaming, generic HTTP) and compares performance across protocols, ports, and destinations to detect patterns that look like traffic shaping. Results are turned into a plain-English report with charts, confidence scores, and a reproducible test recipe so journalists, regulators, and customers can verify claims. The app also lets users opt into an anonymized public map showing where slowdowns are happening by ISP, plan, and region. Brutal truth: most users won’t care until something breaks, and ISPs will deny everything. The product wins only if it produces credible, shareable evidence that holds up under scrutiny and is easy enough for non-technical people to run.
