TideRoute

TideRoute is a mobile + web app for small-boat and coastal skippers who keep getting burned by shallow bars, adverse currents, and “looked fine on the chart” passages. It overlays official chart data with real tidal windows, current forecasts, and vessel-specific constraints (draft, air draft, speed, fuel burn) to produce a practical go/no-go route plan with timing suggestions. The core is not another chartplotter clone; it’s a decision layer that sits on top of the charts you already use. Import a GPX route, pick your boat profile, and TideRoute flags segments where depth-at-time is risky, bridges may not clear, or currents will materially change ETA and fuel. It generates a simple briefing you can share with crew and saves an offline snapshot for when coverage dies. This won’t replace premium nav suites offshore, but it can prevent the most common coastal mistakes.
