TideTrace is a web + mobile AI app that gives coastal operators early, practical warnings for harmful algal blooms (HABs) and low-oxygen events. It pulls near-real-time satellite ocean color (chlorophyll/turbidity), buoy and station data (temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen where available), and local wind/current forecasts to produce a simple risk map and a 3–7 day outlook for specific coastlines and aquaculture sites. Users set geofenced locations and receive alerts with confidence levels, likely drivers (heat, runoff, stratification), and recommended actions (increase sampling, adjust harvest timing, deploy aeration). The MVP focuses on a few high-value regions with good public data coverage and clear economic impact (shellfish farms, marinas, beach managers). It’s not a “pretty ocean dashboard”; it’s a decision tool that reduces closures, stock loss, and reputational damage from late warnings.
