TimeTally

TimeTally is a web + desktop app that automatically measures time spent across apps, browser tabs, meetings, and files, then turns it into clean, defensible “time-spent” analytics. It’s built for people who don’t want another timer to babysit. The desktop agent passively captures activity (with strict privacy controls), while the web dashboard shows trends like deep-work blocks, context switching, and “hidden drains” (chat, email, recurring meetings). Users can label work categories once, and the system learns patterns to auto-classify future activity. Weekly reports highlight where time shifted, what caused it (new meetings, new projects), and what to cut. It also supports lightweight goals (“< 6 hrs/week on Slack”) and alerts when you’re drifting. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps classification and insights, but the core value is trustworthy tracking and reporting.
