TimeTradeoff
TimeTradeoff helps teams negotiate flexible schedules with fewer politics and less manager guesswork. Employees submit weekly availability and preferences (e.g., school drop-off, deep-work blocks, timezone constraints). The app generates a proposed schedule that balances coverage needs, meeting windows, and individual fairness over time (who gave up what, when). It also produces “trade suggestions” so coworkers can swap blocks with one click while keeping coverage intact. Managers get a simple dashboard showing coverage gaps, risk flags (too many late meetings for one person), and a lightweight approval flow. This is not a magic culture-fixer: it works best for teams that already allow some flexibility but struggle with coordination and perceived unfairness. The goal is to reduce schedule churn, meeting overload, and resentment caused by ad-hoc flexibility.
