TipSync is a web app (with optional mobile manager portal) that focuses on the messiest part of hourly payroll: tips. It ingests tip data from POS systems, tip pools, cash tips, and shift rules, then calculates compliant allocations, minimum-wage make-up, overtime impacts, and per-location tax handling. It exports clean payroll-ready files to major payroll providers and produces audit-ready reports for disputes and inspections. The product is a combination traditional + AI: traditional rules/engines for calculations, plus AI to detect anomalies (sudden tip drops, suspicious edits, outlier allocations) and to explain “why” a payout changed in plain English. Realistically, this wins only if integrations are solid and the compliance logic is correct; otherwise incumbents will crush it. Pricing targets multi-location operators who feel tip reconciliation pain weekly.
