TipTally is a mobile app that turns restaurant receipts into a clean, accurate “true cost” dining ledger: tax, tip, fees, and who paid what. You snap a receipt (or forward an emailed receipt), it extracts line items, detects service charges, and tags the meal (work, date night, travel, friends). It also handles the messy part most budgeting apps ignore: splitting. Create a group, assign items to people, and it generates settlement links (Venmo/PayPal/Cash App notes) so everyone pays the right amount without spreadsheets. The app then shows your dining patterns: average cost per outing, fee creep by venue, and how much you’re subsidizing friends.
