TipTapSplit

TipTapSplit is a mobile app (with a lightweight web receipt link) that fixes the most annoying part of group payments: splitting a bill when everyone uses different payment methods. You scan a receipt, assign items to people with simple taps, and each person pays their share using their preferred option (Apple Pay, Google Pay, card, or bank transfer). The payer can front the bill once, then send secure pay links that auto-fill the exact amount and memo. For restaurants and bars, it supports tip and tax allocation rules, rounding, and “cover someone” toggles. This is a traditional app with AI features: AI is used only for receipt parsing and item matching, not for anything gimmicky. Realistically, margins come from small convenience fees on card payments and optional premium features for frequent diners and event organizers.
