TokenTally

TokenTally is a mobile + web app for running a simple, consistent classroom token economy that reinforces positive behavior without derailing instruction. Teachers award points in two taps, using preset behaviors aligned to classroom norms (e.g., on-task, helping others, respectful transitions). Students see their balance on a shared display or via a student view, and can redeem for teacher-approved rewards from a digital “store” with limited inventory and time windows. The app generates weekly summaries for families and administrators, highlighting improvements and patterns (time of day, activity type) without requiring teachers to write long notes. It also includes safeguards to reduce perceived unfairness: private awards, randomized “caught being kind” prompts, and audit logs. Realistically, it won’t magically fix behavior—its value is making reinforcement consistent, trackable, and less exhausting than stickers, paper charts, or spreadsheets.
