TokenTether

TokenTether is a web app (with a lightweight CLI) that keeps design tokens consistent across Figma, codebases, and multiple product teams. It ingests tokens from a single source of truth (JSON/Style Dictionary format), validates naming and semantic rules, and automatically opens pull requests to update tokens in target repositories (web, iOS, Android) with versioning and changelogs. It also flags drift: when engineers hotfix colors/spacing in code or designers introduce new values in Figma without governance, TokenTether detects mismatches and proposes fixes. This is not a “design system in a box”; it’s a narrow, high-value pipe that reduces regressions, review churn, and release risk. An AI assist mode can suggest token naming, map raw values to semantic tokens, and generate migration PR notes, but the core value works without AI.
