ToleranTrack

ToleranTrack is a web + desktop companion app for product designers and mechanical engineers to manage tolerance decisions across a product, not just per drawing. It lets you import a BOM (CSV/PLM export), attach critical dimensions to parts, and build simple tolerance chains for assemblies (press fits, hinge stacks, enclosure seams). The app calculates worst-case and RSS outcomes, flags high-risk chains, and generates a “tolerance budget” report you can hand to suppliers or internal QA. It also keeps a decision log: why a tolerance was chosen, what process capability it assumes, and what inspection method will verify it. This is not a full CAD replacement—expect manual input for many dimensions—but it’s a practical layer that most teams currently hack together in spreadsheets. The goal is fewer late-stage surprises, fewer re-spins, and clearer communication with manufacturing.
