ToneLedger

ToneLedger is a web app (with a Figma plugin) that turns your product’s UX writing into a governed system: approved phrases, tone rules, and reusable patterns tied to specific UI contexts (errors, empty states, onboarding, payments). It scans designs and shipped UI strings to flag inconsistencies like mixed voice, conflicting terminology, missing accessibility cues, and risky claims (pricing, guarantees, compliance). Unlike generic “write better” tools, it focuses on consistency and governance: who approved a string, where it’s used, and what variant is allowed per locale and persona. It also generates suggested rewrites, but only within your defined style constraints. Expect some setup work: you’ll need to define a baseline glossary and tone rules for it to be valuable. The payoff is fewer last-minute copy debates, fewer regressions, and faster releases with less brand drift.
