ToneProof is an AI-powered writing companion that prevents costly miscommunication in workplace messages. Users paste or draft an email, Slack/Teams message, performance review note, or customer reply, then choose intent (direct, diplomatic, firm, apologetic, confident). The app flags risky phrasing (passive-aggressive lines, blame language, ambiguity, overpromising), explains why it may land poorly, and offers 2–4 rewrites with different levels of warmth and assertiveness. It also includes a “relationship context” toggle (manager, peer, report, customer) and a “stakes” slider (low to high) to adjust formality. Unlike generic grammar tools, it focuses on interpersonal impact: clarity, accountability, and emotional tone. It works as a web app plus browser extension so it can be used inside common web-based inboxes and chat tools without forcing a new workflow.
