ToneTriage

ToneTriage is a mobile + desktop AI practice companion that diagnoses why your instrument sounds “off” and gives short, specific drills to fix it. Instead of generic metronome practice, it listens to 20–60 seconds of playing and flags issues like uneven attacks, inconsistent vibrato, intonation drift, timing micro-rushes, noisy string shifts, or breath support instability. It then generates a 5–10 minute micro-routine with clear goals (e.g., “reduce pitch variance to <15 cents on sustained notes”) and a simple progress score you can actually understand. The app is brutally practical: it won’t pretend to replace a teacher, but it will catch repeatable technical problems between lessons and keep you from wasting practice time. Works best for monophonic instruments (voice, violin, winds, brass, guitar single-note lines) and supports basic session logging and clip comparisons over time.
