ToolQueue is a web + mobile app for makerspaces to manage tool reservations, walk-up queues, and safety gating without the usual clipboard mess. Members can see real-time availability, join a queue, and get notified when it’s their turn. Staff can require quick checkoffs (e.g., laser cutter safety) before a member can book or queue, and can log incidents, downtime, and maintenance needs in seconds. The app generates simple utilization and downtime reports so spaces can justify budgets, adjust hours, and spot bottlenecks (like the one 3D printer everyone fights over). This is not a full ERP for makerspaces; it’s a focused operations layer that reduces conflict, improves throughput, and makes staff less of a human scheduler.
