TorqueTrace
TorqueTrace is a web + mobile app for industrial maintenance and assembly teams to capture, verify, and audit torque-critical work (flanges, structural joints, rotating equipment). Technicians scan an asset QR/NFC tag, connect a Bluetooth torque wrench, and the app auto-records torque value, angle (if available), timestamp, operator, tool ID, and calibration status. It flags out-of-spec results in real time and forces a corrective workflow (re-torque, supervisor sign-off, photo evidence). Supervisors get dashboards for compliance, missing steps, and tool calibration due dates, plus exportable audit packs for customers and regulators. This is not a CMMS replacement; it’s a focused “proof-of-work” layer that integrates with existing CMMS/EAM via API. Realistically, adoption hinges on making data capture faster than paper and reducing rework, warranty claims, and safety incidents.
