ToyTrace is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) for collectors of plush and figurines who need a clean, accurate inventory for value tracking, selling, and insurance. You scan the box/barcode or snap photos; the app auto-fills brand, series, release info, and typical market price ranges by matching against public listings and community-submitted catalogs. It tracks condition notes, purchase price, storage location, and provenance (receipts/photos). When you want to sell, it generates a listing pack (title, specs, photo checklist, and pricing guidance) tailored to platforms like eBay/Mercari. For insurance, it exports a standardized report with photos and estimated replacement costs. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for inventory/workflows; AI for image matching, deduping, and listing copy generation. It’s not magic—coverage will be imperfect at first, but it’s useful even with partial matches.
