TraceTrellis
TraceTrellis is a web app (with optional desktop companion) for teams who constantly argue about where numbers in dashboards come from. You connect a warehouse or BI semantic layer, then build visualizations that automatically retain a full “lineage trail”: source tables, filters, joins, transformation steps, and the exact query version used. Each chart can be opened into an audit view that shows the SQL, the row-level sample behind each point, and a change log of who edited what and when. It’s not trying to replace Tableau/Power BI; it sits alongside them or exports embeddable charts with provenance. An AI assistant helps generate plain-English explanations of metrics and flags likely mistakes (join explosions, filter drift, mismatched time zones). The goal is fewer broken dashboards, fewer Slack fights, and faster trust-building with stakeholders.
