TraceTriage
TraceTriage is a web app (with a lightweight CLI agent) that turns noisy distributed tracing into actionable incident clues for small-to-mid engineering teams. Instead of trying to replace Datadog/New Relic, it sits on top of your existing OpenTelemetry pipeline and focuses on one job: triage. It automatically groups traces into “incident clusters” based on shared attributes (service, endpoint, deploy version, region), highlights the smallest set of exemplar traces, and generates a human-readable timeline of what changed (deploys, config flags, dependency latency shifts). The product is intentionally narrow: faster root-cause narrowing, not full observability. It includes a simple “shareable incident pack” link that bundles key traces, logs pointers, and suspected regression window for Slack/Jira. Realistically, it wins by being cheaper, simpler, and faster to use than heavyweight suites for teams that already have raw telemetry but can’t make sense of it under pressure.
