TradeOffs
TradeOffs is a mobile + web AI app that turns spending into explicit value decisions. Instead of generic budgets, you define 3–7 priorities (e.g., debt freedom, travel, health, time with kids) and assign each a monthly “meaning score.” The app pulls transactions via bank connections, auto-categorizes them, then translates each purchase into a trade-off: “This $42 delivery equals 2.5% of your ‘Japan trip’ fund” or “pushes debt payoff by 3 days.” It also prompts quick, low-friction reflections after discretionary spends (10 seconds) to build a personal pattern library: which categories reliably cause regret vs satisfaction. Weekly, it generates a blunt ‘alignment report’ showing where your money actually went versus what you claim matters. It’s not therapy and it won’t magically fix impulse spending, but it will make self-deception harder and decisions clearer.
