TradeTrace

TradeTrace is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps exotic pet buyers, sellers, and rescues reduce legal and ethical risk by verifying species, paperwork, and jurisdiction rules before a transaction happens. Users scan documents (permits, invoices, microchip/vet records) and upload animal photos; the app flags missing fields, mismatched names/dates, and likely-forged patterns. An AI species-check estimates the animal’s species/breed group from photos and highlights when the claimed species conflicts with visual markers (with clear uncertainty warnings). A rules engine maps the transaction to location-specific restrictions (state/province/country) and produces a “trade readiness” checklist: required permits, transport constraints, and recordkeeping steps. It also generates a standardized transfer packet for both parties (bill of sale, care disclosure, chain-of-custody log). This won’t stop bad actors, but it can make compliant trading faster and risky deals harder to ignore.
