TrailGuard

TrailGuard is a mobile + web app for fast, structured reporting of forest and woodland hazards: downed trees, blocked trails, illegal dumping, invasive species patches, suspicious smoke, and storm damage. Users submit geotagged reports with photos, severity, and suggested category; land managers get a triage dashboard that clusters duplicates, ranks urgency, and routes tasks to the right crew or volunteer group. It’s a mix of traditional + AI: AI helps auto-classify photos (e.g., “dumping” vs “windthrow”), detect duplicates, and summarize incident trends by area. The realistic value is operational: fewer missed issues, less time sorting emails/social posts, and better documentation for grants and compliance. Monetization is straightforward: subscriptions for municipalities, park districts, NGOs, and private landowners; free reporting for the public to drive coverage.
