TrailPermit

TrailPermit is a mobile + web app that tracks hard-to-get outdoor permits and campsite reservations (national parks, forests, state systems, and popular private platforms) and alerts users the moment inventory appears. It focuses on the real problem: permits drop at weird times, get canceled unpredictably, and sell out in minutes. Users set trip parameters (park/zone, dates, party size, trailheads), and TrailPermit monitors availability, cancellation patterns, and release schedules. It sends actionable alerts with deep links and a “checkout checklist” to reduce fumbles. An AI layer helps users choose realistic alternatives (nearby trailheads, shoulder-season dates, comparable routes) when their first choice is impossible. This is not a trip-planning fantasy app; it’s a practical availability radar for people who already know where they want to go but keep losing the booking race.
