TrailProof

TrailProof is a mobile app that helps hikers avoid wasted trips and unsafe surprises by providing verified, time-stamped trail condition reports. Users submit quick check-ins (mud, snow depth, blowdowns, water crossings, bugs, closures) with photos, GPS location, and a short form. The app prioritizes credibility: reports gain “trust weight” based on consistency, photo evidence, and community validation. An AI layer summarizes recent reports into a simple “go/no-go” readiness score per trailhead and highlights what gear you’ll actually need (microspikes, gaiters, bug net) based on conditions. Offline caching lets you save a trail’s latest condition pack before you lose signal. This is not another map app; it’s a conditions verification network that plugs the biggest planning gap for day hikers and weekend backpackers.
