TransitTriage

TransitTriage is a web app (with optional desktop uploader) that helps small observatories, students, and serious amateurs quickly validate whether a dip in brightness is likely a real exoplanet transit or just systematics. Users upload light curves (CSV/FITS) from common pipelines, then the app runs a transparent checklist: detrending options, centroid shift checks, odd-even depth comparison, transit-shape fit, and contamination estimates using Gaia neighborhood data. It produces a short “triage report” with confidence bands, plots, and a reproducible parameter file so results can be shared or rerun. This is not a magical discovery machine; it’s a practical decision tool that reduces wasted nights and false positives. A lightweight AI assistant can explain each diagnostic in plain language and suggest next observations, but the core output remains physics-based and auditable.
