TriggerLedger

TriggerLedger is a mobile + web AI-assisted financial therapy companion that focuses on the moment before spending. Users log “money moments” in under 30 seconds: what happened, emotion level, urge strength, and whether they spent. The app connects to bank data (optional) to detect likely trigger categories (late-night delivery, impulse Amazon, gambling-like patterns) and prompts a brief reflection script based on CBT-style techniques. It then builds a personal “Trigger Map” showing the top situations that cause overspending and the smallest interventions that work (delay rules, friction steps, substitute actions). It’s not a budgeting app and it’s not a therapist; it’s structured self-help with guardrails, progress metrics, and exportable summaries users can share with a real therapist or coach. Realistic expectation: it helps people reduce repeat impulse spending, not fix deep trauma.
