TriggerTrace

TriggerTrace is a mobile AI-assisted shadow work journal that focuses on one thing most apps avoid: real-time emotional triggers. Users log a trigger in under 30 seconds (what happened, what you felt, what you wanted to do), then the app guides a short, structured “shadow probe” to surface the underlying fear, unmet need, or protective belief. Over time it builds a private map of recurring themes (rejection, control, shame, scarcity) and shows what situations reliably set them off. The AI doesn’t do therapy or make grand claims; it summarizes patterns, suggests prompts, and helps users write a grounded reframe and a small behavioral experiment for next time. It includes a “post-trigger review” the next day to check what actually happened versus the story you told yourself. This is not a miracle cure—just a practical system for people who keep repeating the same reactions.
