TrimTruth is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers and small dealers quickly understand where a car actually fits in the market by mapping confusing trims, packages, and model-year changes into a clear “segment snapshot.” Instead of generic categories, it shows what matters: size class, powertrain, key safety/tech features, and how that trim compares to nearby trims and rivals. Users can scan a VIN or plate (where supported), paste a listing URL, or search by model/year/trim. The app flags common listing errors (wrong trim, missing packages, misleading “fully loaded” claims) and estimates feature likelihood when data is incomplete. It’s not a magic oracle—OEM data is messy—so the product focuses on confidence scores, citations, and transparent assumptions. The goal is to reduce wasted time, bad comparisons, and overpaying due to trim confusion.
