TripGuardian is a mobile AI + traditional app that turns your phone into a lightweight safety and connectivity layer for any car—especially older vehicles without built-in telematics. Start a trip and it automatically shares a live route link with selected contacts, checks in if you stop unexpectedly, and escalates if you don’t respond. Using on-device sensor fusion (accelerometer/gyroscope/GPS), it flags potential crashes or severe impacts and triggers a timed emergency workflow: audible prompt, one-tap “I’m OK,” then automated SMS/calls to your emergency list with location and last-known speed/heading. It also includes a “safe arrival” mode for teens, rideshare drivers, and late-night commuters. This is not magic: false positives will happen, and the app must be tuned conservatively to avoid alert fatigue. The MVP focuses on reliability, battery efficiency, and clear consent-based sharing.
