TripLedger

TripLedger is a mobile + web app that tracks travel spending in real time and tells you if you’re on pace to blow your budget. You forward booking emails (flights, hotels, tours), connect a card via Plaid, and optionally scan receipts. The app auto-categorizes spend (lodging, transit, food, activities, fees), converts currencies, and shows a simple “daily allowance” and “burn rate” dashboard. It also flags stealth costs travelers miss—ATM fees, dynamic currency conversion, resort fees, baggage add-ons, tips—and estimates the true trip total. An AI layer explains where your money is going and suggests concrete adjustments (“switch to transit pass,” “move two dinners to cheaper areas”) without pretending it can magically find impossible deals. It’s not a full travel planner; it’s a budgeting co-pilot focused on staying financially in control while traveling.
