TurnoutKit

TurnoutKit is a mobile + web app for hosting meetups where attendance actually happens. Instead of vague RSVPs, hosts set a tiny “commitment” (e.g., $2–$10) that’s automatically refunded when attendees check in on time, or donated to a chosen local charity if they no-show. The app includes lightweight event pages, capped guest lists, waitlists, and a fast QR check-in. It’s designed for community organizers, hobby groups, and recurring meetups that suffer from chronic flakiness. Payments are transparent, opt-in, and clearly framed as accountability—not profit. Hosts can also run free events with optional commitments for high-demand slots. A simple reputation score (reliable attendee, chronic no-show) helps hosts manage invites without being punitive. The goal is not to replace major event platforms, but to fix the single biggest operational problem: unreliable turnout.
