TurnTally

TurnTally is a mobile + web app for collecting intersection turning-movement counts without expensive hardware or consultants. Field staff use a phone to record left/through/right volumes with one-tap counters, optional voice input, and automatic time-stamping. The app guides standardized count periods, flags anomalies (e.g., missed intervals), and exports clean datasets (CSV, Synchro-style formats) for engineers. A lightweight AI layer can estimate missing intervals, detect obvious miscounts, and summarize peak-hour patterns, but it does not pretend to replace proper studies. The web dashboard lets supervisors assign intersections, track progress, review quality, and generate simple before/after reports for signal timing changes or construction impacts. This is realistic: it’s not “smart city magic,” it’s a cheaper, more consistent way to get the basic data traffic teams constantly need but often can’t afford to collect frequently.
