TypeAtlas

TypeAtlas is a web app (with an optional desktop companion) that helps designers, product teams, and localization managers choose and validate writing-system support before they ship. You enter target languages and platforms (iOS/Android/Web/Print), and it generates a practical checklist: required scripts, font recommendations, fallback stacks, shaping requirements, line-breaking rules, numeral systems, punctuation norms, and common rendering pitfalls. Upload screenshots or paste UI strings to run automated checks for missing glyphs, broken diacritics, incorrect directionality, and spacing issues. It also provides “known-good” sample strings per language for QA and a lightweight style guide you can export to Figma/Zeplin/Jira. This is not a magic translator; it’s a production-focused tool that reduces embarrassing international typography bugs and costly rework during localization and design QA.
