UnitLedger

UnitLedger is a mobile + web app that helps renters and small businesses reduce self-storage waste by tracking what’s actually in a unit, when it was last accessed, and what it’s costing per item over time. Users quickly capture an inventory by snapping photos and adding simple labels; the app groups items into “keep, sell, donate, move out” buckets and calculates a monthly “cost-to-keep” score. It also sets reminders for lease increases, insurance renewals, and access deadlines, and generates a one-page “move-out plan” with checklists. This is not magic: most people won’t do perfect inventory. The MVP focuses on fast capture, minimal data entry, and clear savings prompts so users can make decisions before another rent hike hits.
