UpBrief

UpBrief is a web app with optional Slack/Teams integration that helps employees “manage up” without overthinking. You paste raw notes (meeting bullets, project status, blockers, emails), and the AI turns them into concise manager-friendly outputs: a weekly update, a 30-second standup script, a risk/decision log, and a crisp ask. It also keeps a lightweight “manager profile” (preferences, pet peeves, format, cadence) so updates match how your boss actually reads. The app nudges you to surface decisions needed, quantify impact, and propose options—because vague updates get ignored. It includes a private “politics-safe” language checker to remove blamey phrasing and reduce accidental escalation. Realistically, this won’t fix a toxic manager, but it will reduce time spent crafting updates and increase clarity, which is the main lever most people control.
