UseShift

UseShift is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps local planners, environmental consultants, and land trusts monitor land-use change around specific parcels and corridors. Users draw an area of interest, then the app pulls frequent satellite imagery and flags meaningful change (new clearing, grading, new impervious surface, shoreline alteration) with simple before/after evidence packs. It’s not a “magic AI” that promises perfect detection; instead it focuses on high-signal alerts, human review workflows, and defensible reporting. Each alert includes imagery timestamps, confidence notes, and a shareable PDF suitable for internal review or sending to a property owner/contractor. The product is designed for teams that can’t afford to manually check imagery every week but also can’t rely on vague social media tips. It’s practical monitoring, not a full GIS replacement.
