ValveWatch

ValveWatch is a mobile + web AI-assisted app for municipal water utilities to track, test, and maintain critical isolation valves and hydrants. Most utilities have incomplete valve maps, inconsistent exercising schedules, and tribal-knowledge maintenance—so when a main breaks, crews waste hours finding the right valve, and shutdown areas balloon. The app provides a field-first workflow: scan a QR/NFC tag (or search by map), log turns-to-close, condition, photos, and GPS, then automatically flags “non-operable” or “high-risk” valves. A lightweight dashboard shows coverage (what’s been exercised, what’s overdue), risk hotspots, and crew productivity. It also generates defensible maintenance records for audits and capital planning. This is not glamorous software; it’s operational plumbing that reduces outage time, water loss, and emergency overtime—if the utility actually commits to using it in the field.
