VaRWatch

VaRWatch is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that calculates and monitors Value at Risk for real-world portfolios across equities, ETFs, crypto, and simple derivatives. Users connect broker/exchange accounts or upload positions, choose a VaR method (historical, parametric, Monte Carlo), and get a clean daily risk report: 1-day/10-day VaR, CVaR, stress scenarios, and top risk contributors by position and factor. It’s designed for small funds and serious individual investors who can’t justify Bloomberg/MSC/Barra pricing and don’t want to maintain fragile spreadsheets. The app focuses on “good enough, transparent, and explainable” risk, with clear assumptions, data quality flags, and audit-ready exports. It won’t pretend to predict crises; it will show how bad “normal” can get and how sensitive the portfolio is to volatility spikes and correlations breaking.
