VATReclaimr is a web app (with optional mobile capture) that helps small businesses and accountants identify missed or incorrect VAT on purchase invoices and expenses, then generates a clean reclaim pack for filing or audit support. Users forward invoices via email or upload PDFs; the system extracts key fields, flags anomalies (wrong VAT rate, missing VAT number, reverse-charge mistakes, partial exemption hints), and suggests the most likely treatment with confidence scores. It also tracks supplier VAT numbers against official registries and maintains an evidence trail (original file, extracted data, user approval, and notes). This is an AI + traditional rules engine product: AI handles messy documents and categorization, while deterministic rules enforce jurisdiction-specific VAT logic. It’s not a full VAT filing suite; it’s a focused “leakage finder” that plugs into existing accounting tools and reduces time spent on manual checking.
