VaultLens is a mobile + web AI-assisted condition reporting tool for art collectors, galleries, and insurers. Users capture a guided photo/video scan of an artwork or collectible; the app generates a standardized condition report highlighting visible issues (craquelure, abrasions, frame damage, discoloration), plus a timestamped media package suitable for insurance, shipping claims, or pre-sale documentation. It also stores prior scans to show change-over-time and creates a shareable “view-only” link for buyers, shippers, or adjusters. Brutal truth: it won’t replace conservators and it can’t see subsurface damage, but it can dramatically reduce disputes caused by vague descriptions and inconsistent documentation. The product wins by being fast, consistent, and audit-friendly—more like “TurboTax for condition reports” than a fancy art app.
