VaultRelay is a web app (with optional lightweight desktop connector) for small regulated teams that need defensible email archiving without buying an enterprise suite. It connects to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, journals/ingests mail continuously, and stores immutable copies with retention policies, legal holds, and tamper-evident audit trails. The AI layer auto-classifies messages by matter/client/project, detects sensitive data (PII/PHI), and suggests retention tags to reduce manual filing. Search is built for “I need this email in court tomorrow”: fast, exact, and exportable with chain-of-custody reports. Realistically, you won’t beat incumbents on breadth; you win by being simpler, cheaper, and focused on the 20% of compliance features that 80% of small firms actually use. Pricing is per mailbox with a clear storage overage model.
