VedaCite

VedaCite is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps students, researchers, and content creators generate accurate, consistent citations for Vedic and related Sanskrit sources (Samhitas, Brahmanas, Aranyakas, Upanishads, and common recensions/editions). The reality: most people cite these texts inconsistently, mixing transliteration schemes, edition details, and section numbering—making their work harder to verify and less credible. VedaCite focuses on structured reference building: choose text, shakha/recension, edition/translator, and passage locator (mandala/sukta/mantra, prapathaka/khanda, etc.). It outputs citations in multiple styles (Chicago, MLA, APA-like, and a “Sanskrit studies” preset), plus shareable permalinks. An AI-assisted mode can parse a pasted quote and suggest likely source locations, but the app is honest about uncertainty and requires user confirmation before generating final references.
