VegVenue
VegVenue is a mobile + web app that rates restaurants on how reliably they serve vegetarians beyond token options. Users log visits and answer a short checklist: dedicated veg menu items, cross-contamination practices, staff knowledge, ingredient transparency, and willingness to modify dishes. The app then generates a “Veg Confidence Score” per venue and per dish, with recentness weighting so old reviews fade. Unlike generic review apps, it focuses on operational reality (kitchen practices, menu consistency, substitutions) and flags places that look vegetarian online but fail in-person. A lightweight AI layer summarizes patterns from reviews (e.g., “staff often confuses vegetarian with pescatarian”) and highlights the safest dishes to order. Monetization is straightforward: optional premium for advanced filters (strict lacto-ovo, no egg, no rennet), offline city packs, and a “near me now” reliability view; restaurants can’t pay to change scores.
