VendorPulse is a web app (with optional mobile alerts) that helps operations and procurement teams detect supplier risk before it becomes a shutdown. It continuously monitors a small set of high-signal indicators—late shipment patterns, quality escapes, ticket volume, lead-time drift, and financial stress proxies—then converts them into a simple risk score per supplier and part. The MVP focuses on ingesting data from ERP exports (CSV), basic EDI feeds, and email-based ASNs, because most companies don’t have clean integrations. Users get a weekly “Top 10 suppliers to worry about” report, plus threshold-based alerts when a vendor’s trend breaks. It also includes a lightweight playbook: recommended actions (expedite, dual-source, increase safety stock) and a log of mitigations taken. It’s not a magic crystal ball; it’s a pragmatic early-warning dashboard that reduces surprises.
