VentBalance is a mobile + web app that helps homeowners diagnose uneven heating/cooling room-by-room using simple measurements and a guided walkthrough. Users enter basic home details, then the app prompts them to record supply/return vent temperatures and airflow readings (using an inexpensive Bluetooth anemometer or manual “tissue test” fallback), plus thermostat runtime and filter status. The app generates a prioritized checklist: damper adjustments, register balancing, filter/coil cleaning prompts, return-air restrictions, and when to stop DIY and call a pro. It also estimates likely causes (undersized return, duct leakage, blocked supply, poor insulation) and provides a “before/after” score to verify improvement. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional for structured diagnostics and tracking; AI for interpreting messy user inputs, photos of vents/filters, and generating plain-language action plans.
