VerifyDrop

VerifyDrop is a mobile + web app that tracks prices but only alerts you when the deal is real. Instead of blindly trusting a single store’s “sale” price, it verifies drops against recent price history, typical coupon behavior, shipping/fees, and common “was” price inflation patterns. Users paste a product URL (or scan a barcode in-store) and set a target price or “notify on genuine low.” The app ranks retailers by true out-the-door price and flags sketchy discounts with a confidence score. It also supports “watchlists” for recurring buys (diapers, pet food, coffee) and sends alerts when the price is meaningfully below normal, not just 5% off. The goal is fewer notifications, higher signal, and less time wasted chasing fake deals.
